An outcast Brahmin detective. A prickly English inspector. A terrifying killer.
Hyderabad, India, 1895. Chief Inspector Soobramania – Soob, is summoned to investigate three mutilated bodies. Suspicion alights upon three powerful men… relatives of Queen Victoria. Faced with thorny imperial politics, Soob must ally with his rival in the British Residency Police, to hunt down the killer. So begins a deadly game of cat and mouse played in the shadow of the empire, where high birth protects foul deeds and where blood counts for less than riches.
