The BBC breakout comedy-drama Boarders is back and brimming with all the complex, the funny, the satire and superstar performances.
Boarders follows five gifted black scholarship students, navigating the unfamiliar world and ‘social outreach scheme’ of the elite private boarding school, St Gilberts. Series One sees the five outsiders begin to thrive. Series Two asks how much they’re willing to sacrifice just to survive.
Returning cast from Series One includes Niyi Akin, who stars as wealthy, non-scholarship student, Koku. Joining him in Series Two is Natalie Cassidy, who guest stars in episode five, as rival school teacher, Sharon Hall.
Critically acclaimed and a loveable teen comedy, Boarders is up there with the finest British coming-of-age TV shows. Currently airing on BBC Three, Mondays at 9pm or all series episodes are available now, on BBC iPlayer.
