Happy 20th to HV….

As the end of 2025 draws near I wanted to take a moment to reflect on not only this incredible year for my little agency but also almost two whole decades of Harvey Voices. We set up shop in pre iPhone days, when it was cool to send out CD’s with clients reels on, way back in the ye olden days when Facebook was just a glimmer in Zuckerberg’s cold dead eyes. Fast forward through tens of thousands of bookings, becoming Super Champs of max level diary Tetris, many castings and endless scheduling chaos. Plus coping with recessions, credit crunches and a gnarly pandemic alongside the joyfull career defining offers, more than a few tears and a couple of tantrums (mine mostly) Harvey Voices is about to turn 20 and what a stratospheric year it’s been for us!

Highlights on 2025 being Zoë Lister’s Jet2 voiceover soaring around the globe (quite literally) to the one and only Redd Pepper being honoured with the SOVAS Vanguard Award, Sara Griffiths and Mike Bodie winning big at the One Voice Awards and Gary Martin being cast to voice one of the most talked about Christmas ad campaigns of ’25, ‘Waitrose – The Perfect Gift’, means this whole year has felt like the perfect gift for us.

But that’s not all, this year we launched our Junior HV department in collaboration with Rotten Orphan’s Agency and the next generation of rising voiceover stars are already giving us a run for our money. Our newly dedicated Audiobooks & ADR dept brilliantly headed up by Louise Bailey, is already taking flight. Our expansion has been both exciting and challenging in the best way possible.

It’s been a year of growth with more than a few “pinch me” moments and while the landscape of our much loved voiceover industry keeps evolving with threats of AI and the soulless tech bots (boo hiss) this year has shown us that our industry’s strength has always been the people in it. The genuine human connections, the love of the craft, and the shared passion for great storytelling and the shared enjoyment of working together.

What we’ve built together over the last 20 years feels special (to me anyway) and I’m incredibly proud of our small, uniquely brilliant team of agents Louise and Theo and all the outstanding actors and clients we get to call colleagues and friends. We love working with you and I wanted to give a massive thank you and shout out back to everyone who’s worked with us and supported us (me) over the years.

Too many people to thank but none of this would have happened without Nicola Gilbert and Speak’s Abigail Wells-Hardy. So, here’s to us making even more noise in 2026, championing the importance of the human voice, pushing some boundaries and pushing actors forward for the best jobs possible while still having all the fun we can.

Thank You all, Emma x
