Raveheart, the hotly anticipated new book from Graeme Armstrong releases today!
Narrated by DJ Turbo played by Graeme himself and a multicast, including our very own John Scougall. John plays nearly 20 roles in this audiobook production – some incredible character work!
Set in the heart of Scotland’s rave subculture, DJ Turbo is living in a soulless dystopian nightmare. His glory days as resident spinner at The Time Capsule are long gone, thanks to a crackdown from a new political party, a far-right ultranationalist UK regime who seek to eradicate ‘moral decay’. No freedom, no fun – no electronic music. But as the political unrest escalates and secret police surveil, the Scottish Techno Pirates are born. With Turbo and his troops leading the rave-revolt, everything goes underground – back to the illegal warehouse parties of the past. Euphoric anthems, psychotropic chemicals, peaceful insurrection – can Turbo be the ‘raveheart’ Scotland needs… glow sticks at the ready, it’s going to be carnage.
Congratulations to all involved on what is likely going to become a cult classic. To find out more and listen to a clip – Raveheart
