Having spent the last few weeks in LA following a period of time filming in Africa, our jet setting Nick Rhys is back in the UK and available for voiceover work.
Nick has recently finished filming the 1960s-set serial killer thriller ‘October 1’ with award winning Nigerian director Kunle Afolayan. You can view the trailer for ‘October 1’ here.
”Set in 1960, shortly before Nigeria’s independence from Great Britain, the film focuses on Dan Waziri, a police inspector from the northern part of the country who has been posted to the Western Region to unravel the mystery behind the killings of women in the community. To his surprise, Waziri discovers that Aderopo, the crown prince of the community, is the prime suspect.
Left with a short time to complete the difficult task, which requires a high level of planning before the Nigerian flag is raised on October 1, Waziri cuts a desperate figure. And the way he goes about trying to bring Aderopo, an equally smart and cunning man, to book sets the tone for the irresistible thriller.
Starring names like Sadiq Daba, Kehinde Bankole, Kanayo O. Kanayo, David Bailie, Kayode Olaiya, Nick Rhys, Fabian Adeoye Lojede, Demola Adedoyin, Deola Sagoe, Colin David Reese, Ibrahim Shatta and others, October 1 is sure to put Nigeria on the global film map once again.”
