The new series is the first chapter of the series without Douglas Henshall as Jimmy Perez.
Ashley Jensen has been cast as his replacement, Ruth Calder, who has returned to Scotland as part of an investigation into a gangland shooting.
She’s introduced to number of familiar Shetland faces, plus a raft of new guest stars including our very own Russ Bain’s character Bobby.
Russ has previously been seen in Peaky Blinders and plays the lead role of Red Mac Raith in the video game Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden due for release in early 2024.
