Michaela Strachan


Bio : Michaela Strachan is a BAFTA award-winning TV presenter, author and public speaker. One of TVs best loved wildlife presenters, known for BBC's ‘Springwatch’, ‘Autumnwatch’, ‘Winterwatch’, ‘Countryfile’ and ‘The Really Wild Show’ to name but a few, she has featured on our screens for over three decades. Michaela began her TV career presenting ‘The Wide Awake Club’ with Timmy Mallet, then went onto present the late night music show ‘The Hitman & Her’ with Pete Waterman and countless wildlife programmes, narrations and documentaries for BBC, SKY, Granada, National Geographic, Discovery and Animal Planet. ‘Michaela’s Wild Challenge’ (Channel 5) won the BAFTA for Best Children’s Factual, with Michaela winning the BAFTA for Best Children’s Presenter. Born in Surrey, Michaela trained at the renowned, ArtsEd. She has performed in the West End, Pantos, an arena tour of the spectacle ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ and toured her own theatre show based on her book ‘Michaela Strachan’s Really Wild Adventures’. Her popularity has led to numerous guest appearances, award ceremonies and voicing projects for well known brands.
